A task specific PC is a personal computer with hardware and software designed and optimized for a specific purpose.
Operating systems can be Microsoft's Windows, Linux or Apple Mac OS X.

Focus is on what it can do just like any household / office appliance.
This is an alternative to "jack of all trades pc's" that  major manufacturers promote.
